This hand built sculpture is hand burnished to create a soft shine to the vessel and a smooth finish. The heavily grogged, cream coloured clay body has been left unglazed to exhibit the natural texture of the clay. Its smooth curved triangular shape is the central focus of the piece, though it is designed to create a different composition when viewed from each side, allowing the owner to dictate their own experience of the artwork. This design is the evolution of the Vardie Vase, we like to think of them as sisters. It is an artwork that is intended to be an eye-catching feature in any space.
