This hand built sculptural and multi-functional vase is hand burnished to create a soft shine to the vessel and a smooth finish. The heavily grogged, cream coloured clay body has been left unglazed to exhibit the natural texture of the clay. Inside, the hand coiled piece is glazed clear making it watertight. Featuring a small shelf inside of the neck, this piece can hold a single candle, however it also has a small circular hole inside this shelf, making it perfect to hold a single stemmed flower. The vessel also works as a stand alone ceramic artwork in any space. Using a combination of curves and sharp edges, this three legged design creates interesting angles from every position. It is the perfect piece to be situated in a room where all angles of the design can be enjoyed. As changing light hits each side throughout the day, it creates an ever-changing experience of the vessel.
